I'm having trouble getting through book #3. I read the first one, and really enjoyed it. It was a fun story, and it was pretty light-hearted. The only thing I didn't like about the first book was how little attention was spent on the time she spent with the mermaids- that was weird. And then book two was a little more "drama" than the first, but still pretty enjoyable to read.I'm stuck halfway through book 3. I'm just not enjoying the drama anymore. I guess maybe I expected the rest of the series to follow the light-hearted, easy reading of the first book? This book feels like a chore. I have it on my Kindle, and I just keep thinking, "Okay, I have to get through this book before I start another..." but it's making it so I don't want to read at all.
It's not that it's not a good story... it's just not what I was looking for. There is a lot of drama, and a lot of twists and turns (most of them very obvious and expected). But the series might appeal more to someone looking for a romance/mystery/drama/fantasy story. I just think this series isn't quite sure which it's supposed to be. :)

As it continues the adventure, my world gets washed away into a new world.
This is by far the best book ever!!!!! I loved it so much but I am sad that there will be no more books after the fourth one!
I am enjoying this series of stories about the life of a mermaid/girl and her life.
I really enjoyed the first two book and enjoyed this one mostly. By the end of the 3rd I caught myself wishing it were a trilogy and never actually finished the series. The plot was great, I loved the characters, i wanted to see Marina live happily ever after.... but I just didn't want to wade through another book to do it. I still recommend it though.
I am eagerly awaiting the 4th installment after devouring the first three books in less than a week! Many times when I try a series sight unseen from , I like the first book, the second one less, and by the third I'm bored. This is so not true with this series. The storyline is refreshing, there are wonderful "lessons" in the unfoldment of the plot, and it's just plain fun!
Marina's story just keeps getting better. She still hasn't learned that secrets just keep getting her into trouble. She has no idea who she can or should trust. Ethan continues to be frustrated and concerned for Marina's safety because of her foolish and dangerous actions. Cruz has another reason to be happy and I'm so glad about that. There are some interesting new characters in this book. I loved this book, another winner that I could not put down!!
So many books lost steam after the first couple in a series, but the author is obviously packing jet fuel not steam. I cant wait for book four, I dread it at the same time and have already asked the author to pretty please keep writing! I thought this would be a cute book, with good feelings so my imagination could go wild after it relaxed me to sleep. No such luck! I was up for two days straight, devouring page after page. Could it be that I live on the other side of the bay from Marina? Possible. I love the ocean, so I read a different mermaid book. No such luck, Derrolyn's skill and creativity were just not matched by the other author. I have to admit though, I have already hit up my fiance for a trip to Atlos, with high hopes of catching a glimpse of a tail or two!
