But Is It Really A Marketing Plan?
By no means is the $7.95 Marketing Plan a real marketing plan. My apologies to all the MBA’s out there who fell of your chairs when you saw the title of this book. Of course it's not a "real" marketing plan in the true definition. (Frankly, we think those are overrated in my most cases anyway).
However, If you’re so inclined to be one of those people who feel the need to have a full marketing plan in place then I highly recommend you do that. You're just not going to get that kind of crazy talk here where we do things willy-nilly (that's a highly technical term for half-assed).
For me, well, I’m more of a “let’s throw it up there and see if it sticks” kind of marketing guy. Not only does this allow me to move faster than well, everyone else, but it also allows me to fail more often than most. And to me, failure is just another step toward success. So if you’re like me, be warned, moving ahead on frivolous marketing campaigns as described in this text can be a risk to your long-term success.
There, I said it. I'm covered now right? I'm sure the MBA's still hate me. But then again in my defense… Doing it my way is way more fun and sometimes, more rewarding.
Especially when you just catch lightening in a bottle and even more so when it only cost you only $7.95. )

I enjoyed reading Marking Plan - The Ultimate Guide To Choosing Memorable & Powerful Domain Names by Jim F. Kukral. I think it happens to all of us, we start a blog and we have not idea how important a domain name we just pick something fun, meaningful, or available. We do not put a lot of thought into what we are planning on getting out of it how it will help us later on down the road, and many of us have no idea how much work is put into a website to make it rank and attract traffic. We start to learn the importance and wish we would have and wish we could, but simple fact is we already have so much time put into what we have, not to mention money.I wish I would have been smart enough to read something like Marketing Plan when I decided to take the plunge into the wonderful world of blogging and marketing online, I had to learn the hard way. Which means extra work, not just a little a lot of extra work.
The $7.95 Marketing Plan offers awesome tips and tricks things I highly suggest you check out if you are thinking about joining the awesome blogging community. You will learn great things such as awesome sites that are available to check out keywords, and pages full of useful information. Before you jump, test the water so you make sure you start out on top of your game.

This e-book was a very quick read that at times was very funny and gave me some great places to check out. It was well put together and very informative. Before I was finished reading I was questioning my blog's domain name. I really wish I had found this before I started blogging, but then there could be a second blog in my future, right?? The 24 pages of this e-book is packed with a lot of practical information that I know I will be using. I will also be suggesting that all my friends and readers check out this book. Yes it is really worth it, and as Jim says, .... "For less than the cost of a pizza", you could have a great and memorable online business.
When I got to the end of the book and realized that among other things Jim Kukral was a professor, I was not only additionally impressed, but was wishing some of my professors had been as much fun. It sure would have made my marketing classes much more enjoyable. That is for sure.
The $7.95 Marketing Plan is a must read for anyone that plans on using the web to promote their online business, be it a good or service or your blog.

The $7.95 Marketing Plan by Jim Kukral is an awesome resource for those starting a blog or if they are wanting to to buy their own domain or if they are setting up their own web based business.
This short work of art is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is simply about making sure that your domain name is not to complicated. The next chapter deals with how to make that name memorable. Chapter 3 deals with domain names that are memorable. Chapter 4 is all about fun domain names. This is the one that made me laugh long and hard. How would you like a domain name like hot chicks with douche bags 101 or don't click it ( you know people are going to click it). The last chapter dealt with domain names that mean business such as get rich slowly. The main focus as you can tell of this book is picking your domain name.
All in all this is a great resource if you are looking to explore buying your own domain or renaming your domain to drive more traffic to your site. It got me thinking about some names myself. Don't be surprised if there is a name change in the near future or maybe a sister blog to this one.

It is very good but a very short book
I was reading this book while working on a new business idea. I kept jotting down name ideas as I walked through the pages of inspiration. I would turn a page and here came another name choice I had not thought of. Reading the $7.95 Marketing Plan led my thought process to a unique name, which I registered. When I need the next name, this book will come out again.
Very practical book at a very practical price
Great book for someone new to buying domains. Good for the experience too for another perspective and a nice jump start into picking new domain names and building new businesses.
Currently I have four blogs where I have been building my businesses but this gives me ideas for new businesses with better names. Having read other books in the beginning about domain names I found some good ones.

I found this book to be a quick interesting read. Jim provides numerous tip and example as he guides the reader through the process of creating a domain name. He identifies the criteria for a name and explains the reasons and benefits of applying his criteria to your domain name creation.
If you are planing to create a new website, this book will be well worth you time. Rod.
I have been a domain name owner for several years. I have amassed more domain names than Google (over 500) and I have a real swell time flipping them and making a return on my investment. I bought this book since I thought there would be some tips that I may not have touched. There were a few that I found amusing but not informative.
This book is written for the first time domain name owner. It is well written for that definitive purpose. True there are some websites that the author does show in the book as good websites to get your creative juices going but most websites were not live and the authors website is just one page with nothing more to go on. 3 stars for a good effort.
